Temel Conta was founded by Mustafa Kip, who began his commercial career in 1950 as a BMC truck dealer in Akhisar, Manisa. In the early 1960s, he expanded his business by opening a second branch in İzmir. During the mid-1970s, he ended his partnership with BMC and became the Aegean Regional Dealer of Genoto BedFord.
